2016 IESA Solo/Ensemble Contest - Congratulations

2016 IESA Solo/Ensemble Contest

On Saturday, April 9 - Beecher Junior High School participated in the 2016 IESA solo/ensemble contest, held at Bradley Central Middle School in Bradley, IL.  38 students from BJHS participated in a variety of vocal and instrumental music events.  9 Division II ribbons were awarded, and 44 Division I medals were awarded to our music students.  All students represented Beecher with great musicality, pride, and professionalism. Great job!!

The following students earned Division II ribbons at contest: Vinnie Carra (vocal solo), Brandon Jones (snare solo), Christina Wang, Kasey Swanson, Brenden Bunte, Julia Kramer (woodwind quartet) and Miguel Herrera, Patrick Paulmeier, and Brenden Bunte (mixed trio).

The following students earned Division I medals at contest: Brendan Bunte (piano solo), Madelynne Oppenhuis (piano solo), Dylan Boley (piano solo), Samantha Docter (piano solo), Gwen Docter (guitar solo), Amanda Howard (voice solo), Emily Palmisano (voice solo), Dylan Boley (voice solo), Nina Athanasopoulos (voice solo), Gwendellyn Docter (voice solo), Samantha Docter (voice solo), Olivia Darabaris (voice solo), Gwen Docter, Samantha Docter (voice duet), Alexis Delgado, Katelyn Kain, Amanda Howard, Dylan Boley (vocal quartet),  Isabella Olson (flute solo), Josh Harvey (clarinet solo), Gabe Delgado (clarinet solo), Russell Ward (clarinet solo), Jason Janz (clarinet solo),  Aidan Ward (alto sax solo), Heidi Greer (alto sax solo), Morgan Rakowski (alto sax solo), Thomas Coccaro (alto sax solo), Matthew Gaffney (French horn solo), Patrick Paulmeier (trumpet solo), Miguel Herrera (trumpet solo), Kylie Hodac (trombone solo), Conner Bailey (trombone solo), Bella Imhof (bells solo), Julia Jennings (bells solo), Emily Cappello, Samantha Cappello, Belinda Hermosillo, Isabella Olson (flute quartet), Josh Harvey, Jason Janz (clarinet duet), and Noah Cackowski, Emily Hayhurst, Daniel Meier, Emma Swaw (percussion quartet).
