NATIONAL BUS SAFETY WEEK will be recognized the week of October 17 – 21, 2016.Beecher School District 200U’s transportation department requests the cooperation of all citizens in maintaining safe daily transportation of students. This year’s “Bus Safety Week” theme is: #STOP ON RED!!! Motorists are required to stop for stopped school buses that are displaying flashing red lights and a stop arm. Stop arm violations are very dangerous situations for children and should never happen. Please be alert at all times when you see a school bus with red flashing lights. It is important to always follow bus safety rules.  By doing so, students can get to school and back home without any harm.  Bus safety starts with you, so make bus safety a priority each and every day!  Today’s bus safety rule is: Keep your head, hands, and feet inside open windows, and NEVER throw things out of the window.
