Mission:  The Beecher Environmental Club is a student-centered organization formed to educate, help protect, conserve, and improve on environmental issues within our school district. The club will also raise awareness and take positive actions in service projects on a local level, including our community and surrounding communities. 

Club: The club is open to 5th graders at BES, 6-8th graders at BJHS, and all BHS students. 

Meeting:   BES = Second Wednesday of the month from 3:15 - 4:15

               BJHS = First Wednesday of the month from 3:15 - 4:15   * The first meeting will take place on Nov 4th due to tree planting.

               BHS = Every Wednesday from 3:00 - 4:00

BHS Environmental Club + BHS Environmental Class plant oak trees at Veterans Memorial & Women's Welfare Park  for Oak Awareness Month! These trees are replacing some of the Ash Trees that have died due to the Emerald Ash Borer.   (October 2015)






Fundraising: We will be selling gift cards to a variety of restaurants, retail shops, theaters, and ice cream stores. Each member is being asked to sell 15 cards. Our profit averages 5% per card sold. Please support our efforts!

Work Day...Some members of BHS Environmental Club Volunteer at Goodenow Grove on Sunday, March 2, 2014. The club worked on removal of non-native species of plants in hopes of providing habitat for reptiles, mammals, birds, and native plant species.

BHS members joined forces with Will County Volunteers for a workday at Goodenow Grove on Sunday, March 2nd.
