The BES 5th graders holiday community service project will again be supporting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).  We will call it “Fill the Shoe” with a fundraising goal of $500. Envelopes will be sent home in this week's Friday Folders explaining the fundraiser.

The theme is:  “Kids Helping Kids Cure Diabetes”. It will run from Monday, December 12th – Thursday, December 22, 2016. The goal is to raise $500 - any donation, large or small, will help make a difference. We hope that this project will help JDRF “Kids for a Cure” raise awareness and financial support to help in the research of finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D).  We currently have BES students who are suffering with this disease. Watch the donations grow by checking out the large shoe poster in the lobby!
