Next week, Beecher High School students in junior-level English, Algebra II, and Trigonometry classes will be completing the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College & Careers (PARCC) exam.  Testing students will be provided with lunch during these times, as well as an early release from afternoon classes.  Rosters with room assignments will be posted by the Main Entrance and Science Wing.  Seniors are excused from school on March 24 for their cruise.  Those in Kankakee Area Career Center (KACC) are allowed to attend KACC on March 24 if they are not participating in the cruise.  Testing students who are absent from school during the PARCC will complete make-ups on March 26-27.  Parents, please help your student perform well on these new assessments – which are designed to assess college and career readiness through mastery of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) – by ensuring he/she receives a good night’s sleep, eats a healthy breakfast, and arrives prepared with several No. 2 pencils and an approved calculator.
