On December 4, 2014, two District 200U students - BJHS sixth grader Alex Utermark and BHS freshman Kate Landis - were awarded free, upgraded, refurbished PC desktop computers complete with flatscreen monitors, peripherals, Microsoft Office Suite, and 8-10 educational software programs as part of the Regional Office of Education's Computers 2 Kids In Need program.  Computers are awarded in partnership with Vista Learning and the Professional Development Alliance based on academic potential and parental support with the goal of closing the digital divide.  Alex and Kate were presented with certificates from Regional Superintendent Shawn Walsh.
