Superintendent’s Blog – Anticipated School Tax Rate Drop!

At the December meeting, the Board of Education approved the latest local property tax levy. This impacts the property taxes that we (as taxpayers) will be paying on our next tax bill. As you know, the local public school district is the largest item on your tax bill, so what happens at levy time impacts each of our household budgets.

Last year, Beecher 200U had a tax rate of $6.81; it is anticipated that next year’s rate will drop to $6.57, which is a 3.5% decrease! If you would like to access specific information from the presentation to the Board, click HERE.

The Board of Education is very aware of how much the local property tax rate impacts our citizens and community.
