Dear 8th Grade Parents and Guardians,
As you all know, due to the unforeseen circumstances of what is going on right now, the 8th graders will not be having a promotion ceremony. Mr. Meyer has put in place plans as you all received in the letter that was sent out. The PTO has T-shirts that were made for each of the 8th grade students. They may be picked up when they go to empty their lockers. PTO has also put together a “Promotion Parade”. The parade will take place Saturday, May 23rd at 3:30 p.m. at Beecher Junior High School in the west lot. Staff will be there to congratulate and help send off the students in a fun way. We have a few guidelines that we need to make sure everyone follows in order to make this successful and safe.
• Lineup will begin no earlier than 2:45 p.m. facing northbound on Cardinal Creek Blvd. along the curb before the Junior High entrance. We need to be respectful of everyday traffic by not blocking the roads so please make sure you are pulled over. Please do not pull into the parking lot.
• A PTO member will start the parade. Once the parade begins you will pull through the parking lot slowly. You are welcome to decorate your vehicles, honk your horns, and cheer!
• We need everyone to please remain in your vehicles at all times. We know it is exciting to see everyone, especially since we have all been apart for so long, but for the safety of everyone, please remain in your vehicle.
• PTO members will be recording the parade as well as taking pictures. This will be sent to all of you once it is put together. We will be going to the vehicles for pictures so please have your 8th grade student on the passenger side of the vehicle. (Inside the vehicle.)
We would like to congratulate all the 8th grade students on your hard work and dedication. We wish you the best as you become freshmen in High School!
