Who We Are
The BeechBark is Beecher High School’s newspaper. It is a monthly, 8-page paper (October – May). The students involved in the BeechBark must be in either the Journalism or Advanced Journalism class. While students may be required to work outside of class (during study period or before/after school) most of the work is done during class time. In these classes and while working on the BeechBark, students learn how to write news, sports, editorial, column, and feature stories. Students also learn how to design pages using Adobe InDesign. Our paper is printed through LithoType on newsprint for a genuine newspaper feel. Each student in Journalism and Advanced Journalism is required to get one ad to help support the cost of the newspaper.
