Superintendent’s Blog – BJHS Gym Remodel

At the February Board meeting, the Board of Education approved the remodeling of the Junior High gym for approximately $135K. The two main pieces to this project are the floor and bleachers. Anyone who has spent any time in this gym knows one thing: three rows of bleachers is not enough. Moving forward, the gym will have seven rows of bleachers, more than doubling the gym’s seating capacity. According the the Prep Sports website via NBC Sports, it appears that Beecher High School will be the spot to be tomorrow night. NBC Sports twitter poll shows Beecher hosting ILHS is the top choice of the area. Let's pack the stands! Our senior class wants to make it a Hawaiian night, presumably to "Lei-out the competition."
