On Monday night, the School Board passed the budget for this year. After putting $282K in the bank last year; this year’s budget calls for deficit spending of $664K due to larger-than-normal spending on technology, buses, textbooks, and debt repayment. We are anticipating total spending for the 2019-2020 school year to be about $14.7M, and we should end the year with $14.9M in reserves. In other words, we have a year’s worth of spending in our savings account. You can find the entire budget summary HERE. Please call or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) with thoughts or questions about this or other topics.
