Will County Boys Leadership Conference

On Thursday February 22nd, Mr. Sarsany took a group of 9 boys ranging from 7th-10th grade for the the annual Will County Regional Office of Education Boys Leadership Conference.  During the conference, students gathered valuable information by listening to guest speakers on topics such as leadership, college/career prep, health and fitness and self-esteem.

BHS Blood Drive – 2/27

Please schedule an appointment to give blood on Tuesday, Feb. 27, in honor of Eric Stasko a BHS student. Eric was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia, which is a very rare blood and bone marrow disease in March 2017. Having this disease, he has endured blood and platelet transfusions daily for several months. He has been unable to play the sports which he loved: baseball, basketball and golf. Beecher High School has been named the 2017-2018 Illinois Association of Supervision & Curriculum Development (ASCD) Whole Child Overall School!  Please see attached for a press release with information about this significant accomplishment, which indicates that we are graduating students who are healthy, safe, engaged, supported, challenged, and well prepared for life after high school.  Illinois ASCD will be formally recognizing Beecher High School at their annual conference in March 2018 and nominating us for the national Vision in Action Award!  Thanks to all faculty, staff, students, parents, and other stakeholders who together have helped Beecher High School realize a …
