A big thank you to everyone involved in making a new playground happen at BES – the PTO, the school board, the foundation, and the many volunteers who came out to build this new playground yesterday! We can’t wait for everyone to enjoy this.
The Beecher Color Run hosted by the Beecher PTO will be held on Friday, August 16th, from 6 – 9 pm at the BES playground. Print and turn in the flyer below along with payment to the BES front office, open Monday – Thursday from 8 am – 3 pm. Flyers can also be found at the BES office and local businesses. What a great end to the year at BES! We surpassed our goal of having 1000 kindness chain links, and ended with 1017 links! We had 283 students “Caught Being Kind” by their teachers. There was also one student selected from each grade level to receive the Kindest Heart Award. We are so proud of all of the kindness that has been displayed at BES this year!!
The BES playground will be closed until the new equipment is installed.
Beecher 200U concluded another successful school year this week with a Staff Recognition luncheon at Cardinal Creek Golf Course. Those recognized included Geralyn Gordon who retires on June 25 as District Special Services Coordinator, with 39 years of service to the students and families of 200U. If you live within Beecher School District boundaries and have an incoming Kindergartener, please stop by Beecher Elementary School to pre-register your child. The office is open Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. An original birth certificate for the child and photo ID for the parents/guardians are both required.
Parents & Volunteers – Olympic Day has been rescheduled for Friday, May 31st. We are hoping the weather cooperates! Grassy areas will be muddy, so please plan accordingly. Don’t forget PTO will be selling concessions and the Kona Ice Truck will be there as well.
