Who We Are
According to the National Honor Society website, “The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.” Beecher High School requires NHS students to have a 3.5 GPA or higher. Students must also complete 14 hours of individual service work per school year. Each year NHS sponsors a high school event. In the past, they have sponsored a walk. This year, NHS is sponsoring a flag football tournament to raise funds for Illinois Special Olympics.
