Superintendent's Blog - This and That
December 18, 2020
As we sit here on our way to a well-deserved break, I wanted to reach out with a few things:
Snow Days. When we return to in-person learning, there will be no such thing as a snow day. If there are days when the weather gets bad, we will just treat them as 100% remote engagement days with everyone learning from home, just as we have been the last few weeks.
As we head into the Holidays, please be safe. I know that it is tempting to not wear a mask or socially distance when you finally get a chance to see friends and family in person, but the more precautions that we all use over the next few weeks, the more likely it is that we will be back in person on January 11th.
Last Monday, the School Board adopted the local property tax levy. The presentation can be found here. In short, the tax rate is expected to drop about a dime or 1.4%.
Finally, I just want to thank everyone for partnering with the school like never before. It really does take a village to raise a child.
Have a very merry holiday season.
Be safe. Be well.
