Korean War Veterans Visit BJHS

Sixth graders in Mrs. Weiss's social studies classes listened to three community members speak about their time in the military during the Korean War. Leonard Kregel, Fred Hoffmeyer, and John Wierl spent some time with the students last Wednesday. These gentlemen will be taking their Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. in June. Honor Flight Chicago recognizes the bravery, determination, and patriotism of our nation's senior war veterans by bringing them to our nation's capital to see the memorials that commemorate their service. We wish them safe travels on their flight and hope they enjoy this much deserved honor.
